On March 13, 2013, SSCSC held its annual Inland Empire Spring Workshop" at the Marion
V. Ashley Community Center in Menifee, California, just 3 miles east of
Eastern Municipal Water District. This annual event was moved to a paid for facility because the sizes of the event has outgrown city and municipality facilities in the area. There were over 160 attendees and 27 participating vendors. The following classes were offered: 1. Collection System Management - Mark Chamberlin 2. The Safe Use of Neumatic Pipe Plugs - Latif Laari 3. The Next Generation of Tier 3 Nozzles and Beyond - Rick Lewis 4. Maintaining Collection System Easements - Duane Johnson One of the highlights of the event was the disposition of the left over food. Since there was a considerable amount left, the committee donated it to the Valley Restart Center in Hemet.
