SSCSC/LABS JOINT WORKSHOP
GLENDALE

Attendance exceeded 210 with over 168 attendees and 20 vendors.

Two education tracts were held simultaneously with the indoor classes directed to the management level. These classes included "What the SWRCB Looks for During an Audit," a "Case Study on the Initiatives the City of Los Angeles Implemented to Achieve 75% SSO Reduction," Lessons Learned from Region 2 Collection System Enforcement Actions," and "Using SSMP Audit Process to Improve Your Operations."

Hands on training was offered out-doors which included a "Combination Unit Maintenance and Safety" class, an "SSO Estimating" class with a live overflow simulator, a "Nozzle Technology and Cleaning Techniques" class and a "Rodder" class.

A CWEA Annual Conference Planning Meeting was held during the workshop as well.

LABS is committed to holding this event on an annul basis. SSCSC and LABS will again join to bring a Collections Workshop in November 2011.
